We didn't miss Spring Break!

Warning: Lots of pictures!
The Winans family did not go on an extended trip for Spring Break, Daddy was working, but we did do some very fun day trips and I wanted to share. We started the week with a trip to the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ. The kids had a blast until mommy realized she couldn't find her keys and we searched everywhere until going to the courtesy desk. I had left my keys in the little tray while going through security. Crazy Mommy! We still had a great time.
Next we went to Northlandz, a warehouse filled with model trains in Flemington, NJ. The kids love this place, we need to go more often. It's one man's hobby gone wild, very cool.
We had a rainy day at home.
Next, we ventured to the Bronx, NY to the Bronx Zoo with our friends Carolyn, Hanna and Sydney. After 2 full hours in the car before parking, we were ready to see the animals. It's only 50 miles...mmm...love NY traffic.
We finished up the week with a hiking trip to Swartswood State Park in NJ with Daddy. What a fun week!

Cutest boys ever!

Niklas: love this boy!

This is our sweet Niklas! He's 4 years old and quite a character. He's a great kid and on occasion can display quite a temper. He tells me that as a mommy I'm mostly good, but a little bit mean :) So, one day not so long ago, he was frustrated and angry with his Mommy. I can't even remember why, but he must have been thinking I was being mean. When he gets upset he tries to something to get a reaction from his parents. This particular day, he thought he'd climb into the baby's crib. Well, usually I ignore him until he's settled down. I knew he was upstairs and things got quiet, so I went to check on him. This is what I found! He was just all tired out!

Flower Fingernails

Mommy learned at Young Women's how to paint flowers on her fingernails. Miss Meggin saw them and decided she wanted some as well!

It went something like this: She saw my nails and said "Pretty" followed by "I want those". She persisted after I told her that she had to have them painted and that Chelsea was the one to paint them. I thought she might forget about it, but the next morning after getting dressed she said, "let's go, Mommy". I asked where we were going and Meggin said, "Go Chelsea's, paint nails!" Chelsea was kind enough to come over and give Meggin an artistic manicure. She loved it as you can tell. Ah, girls!

Play Ball

Alex decided to play T-Ball this year. He's having such a great time, many of his friends ended up on his team, so they are loving it. His team is sponsored by Fuddruckers, what fun!

Go Team!

Hey Batter, Swing Batter!

Keeping busy during the game. We are so glad there are only 3 innings in T-Ball!
