Fun Things

This is our most recent purchase! Well, not really, Dave just bought a new car, but I still have to take a picture. That will be a coming attraction! I love this piano, now I just need to get better at playing it. It's a 1929 Sohmer, original ivory keys! It sounds and looks beautiful.
Here's Niklas at his story time at the library! What a ham, see can't get a picture without a "face".
This is a day we went hiking on the wonderful trail system in our area. The boys had to climb on all the rocks. Dave says it's what boys do.

Easter Sunday

Niklas and Alex looking cute!
Our three little ones, can't get Nik to not make a face. Daddy and the Sweetie, she loves the daddy.
Mommy and Meggin. Thanks to Nana for the beautiful Easter dress!

Our Sweet Meggin

This is our Sweetie! Her Auntie Meggin gave her the fun coat and she wears it everywhere!

Sitting up to the counter like a big girl. I'm not sure we can continue because she tries to climb out and even though I strap her in the chair she figures a way to stand up even in the straps...busy little girl.
You have to love those baby blues!
Here's the brothers loving the little sis...very cute!

Funny Kids

So, I'm sure most of you have had your kids draw on the walls. These are some lovely pictures that we eventually discovered were drawn by Niklas. When we saw them we asked who drew them, Alex immediately said "Nik" and Nik said "Alex". So Daddy started asking Nik who they were pictures of and Alex piped up and said that he drew them. Then it was an investigation to see who was the artist...in the end, they both denied it and again blamed each other. I had them draw some faces on paper and Nik's looked just like the ones on the wall. Then I asked Nik what color he used to draw the faces...he said, "brown". Mystery solved. They had to scrub and did not get to read books before bed because of the "lying/denial".
Here are all the Winans babies...so cute.
Playing playdoh! Needless to say, I am constantly picking up dried out playdoh everywhere...fun for a while, but messy in the long run.

Meggin Ann

Meggin has been doing a few new things, she's growing up so fast, I need to keep up. She's been trying lots of new foods. She loves cheerios and has the pincer grasp down pat. Here she's having some peas.
She's also been getting up on all 4's and rocking forward and backward...crawling will come soon, but not yet (I'm secretly happy about that).

And of course she's been sitting for a while now...she loves to play with any toy, but especially the superhero guys (she has her very own Wonder Woman).
Our little Meggin is all sugar and not so much spice. She's so fun and happy all the time.

Nik's Birthday!

On February 12 we celebrated Nik's 3rd birthday! He's growing up so fast. It was a Thursday, so we waited for Daddy to come home to have cake. We had the boy's favorite dinner Red Chicken! We also celebrated our 7th Anniversary the next day by going to NYC to dinner and a broadway show (The Phantom of the Opera). Then we celebrated Dave's birthday...he's not too much into the pictures, but we had a banana cake...yum. On top of all that, Dave and Nik were sick with the flu and croup...then Mommy got the sickness...busy month, February. If you couldn't tell, Nik loves Batman. The big Batman standing there was from Mor Mor and Papa. Grandpa Dennis gave a Bat mobile with a Bat Cycle. Nana also sent some superhero stuff. What a lucky boy!

Some of Meggin's firsts!

A couple of weeks before Christmas, Meggin tried her first bites of rice cereal. She loved it and discovered how to "chew" and swallow very quickly. The boys helped!Sitting!!
This was also a little bit before Christmas. She can do it, but does still fold in half or fall to the side after not too long. She sat for a little longer this time because she was focused on the blocks. She's growing up so fast already
