Going to the Zoo...a little boy's best day!
We recently went to Baltimore to see my brother, Derrik and his family. We met them at the National Zoo in D.C. (Bronx Zoo is much better by the way). This was the best day those 4 boys could ask for...can't say the same for the parents who were chasing them around the entire day. We saw many animals, but they were excited for the polar bears all day. Guess what? There are no polar bears at the National Zoo, bummer. They did love the Anteater I hear (Jen and I were feeding babies). From left to right...Niklas, Alex, Will and Jonathan.
You could contend that we have 3 busy Otters watching other busy Otters! So cute!
Meggin had fun too! I think Kate slept almost the entire day...no pics of her, sorry.
Daddy, Nik and a lion (behind them on the ledge...sort of blends in, that's the point right?

Fun Things
This is our most recent purchase! Well, not really, Dave just bought a new car, but I still have to take a picture. That will be a coming attraction! I love this piano, now I just need to get better at playing it. It's a 1929 Sohmer, original ivory keys! It sounds and looks beautiful.
Our Sweet Meggin
This is our Sweetie! Her Auntie Meggin gave her the fun coat and she wears it everywhere!
You have to love those baby blues!

Funny Kids
So, I'm sure most of you have had your kids draw on the walls. These are some lovely pictures that we eventually discovered were drawn by Niklas. When we saw them we asked who drew them, Alex immediately said "Nik" and Nik said "Alex". So Daddy started asking Nik who they were pictures of and Alex piped up and said that he drew them. Then it was an investigation to see who was the artist...in the end, they both denied it and again blamed each other. I had them draw some faces on paper and Nik's looked just like the ones on the wall. Then I asked Nik what color he used to draw the faces...he said, "brown". Mystery solved. They had to scrub and did not get to read books before bed because of the "lying/denial".
Meggin Ann
Meggin has been doing a few new things, she's growing up so fast, I need to keep up. She's been trying lots of new foods. She loves cheerios and has the pincer grasp down pat. Here she's having some peas.
