Kiddie Soccer 2009
Kiddie Soccer ended in June. It was a very fun time for the whole family. The boys played at the same time on different fields so I was running back and forth to get pictures of each one. The end is the best...they each get a chance at an uncontested goal and then receive a medal!
How cute is this!
Alex did great. He was always trying to be a team player, but often times 5 year olds don't understand the concept of "team". Hey you, pass it to me!
Alex also said that he thinks there's just too much running in soccer.
Nik loved his first year of Kiddie Soccer. He listened well and he got after the ball.
Sometimes when the coach yelled "no pushing", he was talking to Nik. Nik was going to get the ball whatever it took.
Meggin just hangs out and watches it all.

"Graduation" from Pre-school
On June 12, 2009 Alex completed his days at The Dogwood Pre-school. He has really enjoyed his time there and has met some wonderful friends. They had a closing program complete with performances from the class and a DVD filled with pictures of the kids throughout the year. Wow, how they change...not a dry eye in the place!
Alex is sitting next to one of his great friends, Dillon Burns and of course a girl...he pretends not to like the girls!
Here a some other friends, Owen on the left and Jonathan on the right. What fun!

Recent Visitors
We have been very lucky this year so far to have a couple of visitors and another coming soon (Nana comes next week).
Mor Mor and Papa came a couple of weeks ago and stayed for a few days. They got to relax in beautiful NJ, see the boys play soccer and Papa helped me pick out some furniture for our new piano room. It's beautiful, so thanks Dad! Mor Mor played many a game with the boys and they both spent lots of time with Meggin. We loved having them here and wished they could've stayed longer.
Our next visitor was Uncle Mike, Dave's brother. He and Dave had a great time. They went to Gettysburg, toured the new Yankee Stadium and did some site seeing in NYC, went to George Washington's headquarters in Morristown and hiked with the boys. I hope it was a fun trip for Mike, I know Dave was glad to be able to hang out with his brother. The kids also loved Uncle Mike. He pushed them on the swing, played T-ball with the boys and held and played with Meggin. What a great visit!

Going to the Zoo...a little boy's best day!
We recently went to Baltimore to see my brother, Derrik and his family. We met them at the National Zoo in D.C. (Bronx Zoo is much better by the way). This was the best day those 4 boys could ask for...can't say the same for the parents who were chasing them around the entire day. We saw many animals, but they were excited for the polar bears all day. Guess what? There are no polar bears at the National Zoo, bummer. They did love the Anteater I hear (Jen and I were feeding babies). From left to right...Niklas, Alex, Will and Jonathan.
You could contend that we have 3 busy Otters watching other busy Otters! So cute!
Meggin had fun too! I think Kate slept almost the entire day...no pics of her, sorry.
Daddy, Nik and a lion (behind them on the ledge...sort of blends in, that's the point right?

Fun Things
This is our most recent purchase! Well, not really, Dave just bought a new car, but I still have to take a picture. That will be a coming attraction! I love this piano, now I just need to get better at playing it. It's a 1929 Sohmer, original ivory keys! It sounds and looks beautiful.
